Do I need to provide my own hardware?

If you want an on-premise solution, within your firewall, then you’ll need to buy a Windows 2019 server. But, many of our customers use virtual machines or we’ve installed in their Azure or AWS private clouds. So you choose where you want to install our platform and store your data. 

Do you duplicate all our records?

We create a “digital twin” of your records, that is a super light, text-only version of your files. This makes searching lightening fast as you’re not searching the native doc (original file), but just the text from a CAD file, or excel spreadsheet or CRM record. Thus no duplicate files are created and if you need the original, just click “Open” while previewing the doc.

Do you have access to my data?

No, we do not have access to your data. The text and meta data that we extract from every one of your files is stored in a database that resides on your hardware or in your private cloud. 

Can I preview docs from the search interface?

Sure. You can review any document from the interface, and you can write on it. We allow users to place notes as a layer on top of any preview, notes that you or a colleague could read later when looking at the doc in the future. The notes are searchable alongside the document text. Thus knowledge and learnings added to docs is available to everyone.

Do you allow for collaboration on documents?

Yes, we have light document review capabilities. Users can create collections of docs that can be reviewed by a team and all of the review work is visible by the review team. This includes any annotations, notes and tags placed on the docs while being reviewed in the Preview mode. All of the review work is exportable to Word or Excel.  

Do you have any AI in your platform?

Yes, we allow users to train an algorithm in order to classify (sort) docs according to your logic. For example, do you want to look for harassment in a set of emails? You first find examples of emails containing language that unacceptable and the algorithm is trained. Then you apply your algorithm against a data set to sort them using the rule you just trained. The training is fully transparent and any colleague can see the positive and negative examples used to train the algorithm. It’s white box, not black.

Who are your customers?

Our customers include document heavy industries such as energy, legal, construction, education and financial services. All of them have information stored in over 10 different software applications and they use ayfie to aggregate their information into one database so that information retrieval and knowledge management is structured, efficient and accessible.
