Streamlining the Norwegian Public Roads Administration's Reporting with AI

THE CHALLAGE
Enormous volume of text and data from various sources
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA) faces the demanding task of creating extensive quarterly and annual reports for the Ministry of Transport and Communication. This process is resource-heavy and time-consuming, requiring the consolidation of individual unit reports into one comprehensive document. The enormous volume of text and data from various sources complicates report compilation and review, while limited capacity hinders effective trend analysis from previous periods. Seeking a solution, NPRA aimed to harness AI to make the reporting process more efficient.

THE SOLUTION
Business Agent
BIn collaboration with NPRA, Deloitte crafted a data visualization app integrated with AI functionalities to streamline the reporting process. The app features an analytics dashboard which produces text summaries, compiles data, and generates trend charts and tables for monitoring key performance indicators and strategic objectives. The app has been integrated with Ayfie Business Agent, enabling users to ask questions, generate text summaries, compile data, and run analysis of the reports and results.
In the app, users can sort information by division or strategic goal, with built-in prompts to assist with frequent tasks. The app enables managers to gain quick insights into unit reports ahead of internal meetings, while case officers benefit from expedited report reviews and text assembly for the agency's complete report.
THE IMPACT
Implementing this solution has significantly reduced the time required for text review, compilation, and information retrieval. The NPRA's goal reporting process is now more efficient, allowing the organization to redirect time and resources toward strategic analyses and other valuable activities.
