Construction companies often face challenges when they need to extract information from technical drawings, especially when they are created in a CAD file format.
With an increase in digitalization and innovation, there has been an equal surge in file programs to pick and choose from. It is now normal to operate, not only with the different programs in the Microsoft office package but also with JP(E)G, PNG, vector-based drawings, and even CAD files.
However, problems arise when you have to search for something particular within one of these file formats, as it is as good as impossible when you are not working within the dedicated program. And even if you are, one would still have to be in the exact file containing the information and still have to meticulously search for the information.
